** The Heroes... track started out as a demo at the request of Laurie Records to write a song with that title. The basic track was sweetened  with string overdubs (Harry and others) and new vocals and released as a the A Side of Tom Selden solo single in 1973.
*** The harpsichord on the current Willin’ California track (2023) features Mike from from an outtake of the original session. With Ivy, Ivy, they were originally intended as tracks for the Left Banke but, post Bell, Willin’ was released as the B Side of a the Tom Selden single mentioned above. Both have been updated with new lyrics from Loretta Pieper Fradkin.
**** The song God Bless California was first cut at MGM (with the McCartneys and Dennis Seiwell, future Wings members). It saw release on the Thornton, Fradkin & Unger album Pass On This Side on ESP Disk in 1974. Les added Electric 12 String overdubs to it and issued it on Rehearsals For Retirement anthology in 2015. The version with the Left Banke was released in 1973 but it ended up with the vocal by actress Mara Lynn Brown.
¤ Les is playing bass on See You In September. Mike is on piano. Steve on guitar and vocals, George on drums and vocals and Beverly on lead vocal. Eliot Greenberg on background vocals. 
¤¤ Song Of A Thousand Voices had already been an international hit single in 1970-71 for Mireille Mathieu and Roberto Jordan in French and Spanish language versions respectively. Barry Butler, who co-wrote Everything is Gonna Be Alright, which was also cut at these sessions with Steve, George and Tom, appears on the single B side (recorded 1973, released 1976). The new version of Everything... is included on California Loves You.
¤¤¤ On Finale, Mike plays keyboards, Les plays guitars, bass and Ztar and Mike’s twin sons Skylar and Adrian also guest on violin, bass, and guitars.
